Robert G. Veligdan, DMD Wins Second CMUS Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 11, 2011

Achieving a 4-star rating for the second consecutive year, Robert G. Veligdan, DMD has earned the prestigious CMUS Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award in the Dentists category for excelling in customer service.

The Talk of the Town Awards, presented by Talk of the Town News, Customer Care News magazine and Celebration Media, honor companies and professionals that provide excellent customer service as reported by their customers through no-cost, user-review websites, blogs, social networks, business rating services, and other honors and accolades. This data is analyzed by a team of researchers and converted into a star rating; only those that receive a 4-star to 5-star rating receive the Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award.

Robert G. Veligdan, DMD, began his own dental practice in New York in 1975. With a focus on cosmetic and restorative dentistry, the practice utilizes the latest technology and improvements in dentistry to meet patients every need.

In addition to serving patients for more than 35 years through his practice, Dr. Veligdan has also been a clinical professor of dentistry at Columbia University for 24 years and has been on staff at The Presbyterian Hospital of NYC for 19 years. Both his hospital affiliation and time spent in the classroom teaching future dentists help keep Dr. Veligdan abreast of the newest ideas and latest practices in the field, all of which benefits patients.

Dr. Veligdan has been on the cutting edge of the field in many ways. In the early years of his practice, he was among the first dentists to perform cosmetic bonding, bleaching and teeth whitening procedures. Dr. Veligdan studied with internationally renowned prosthodontist, Dr. I. Franklin Miller, whose practice he was honored to be given upon Dr. Millers retirement.

In the early 1980s, Dr. Veligdan was one of the first dentists who pioneered a breakthrough cosmetic and minimally invasive technique porcelain laminate veneers. Commonplace now but revolutionary at the time, porcelain laminate veneers gave dentists a more aesthetically pleasing and less invasive way than traditional caps and crowns to improve patients smiles. They are also more durable and beautiful than composite bonding. Dr. Veligdan worked closely with the process's inventor, dental lab technician Adrian Jurim, to develop and perfect the technique. Because of his expertise in this area, Dr. Veligdan helped train hundreds of other practicing dentists and dental students in this new cutting-edge area.

Dr. Veligdan brings a host of experience and technical expertise to the table, but theres more to the practice that keeps patients satisfied and coming back. We believe in treating our patients like family from the warm greeting at the door to ensuring their maximum comfort during treatment to calling every patient that evening who has had a tough procedure, says Dr. Veligdan.

Special amenities are provided to ensure patients are comfortable and relaxed during their time in the office. A specially fitted Tempur-Pedic mattress was made for the dental chair and there is also a state-of-the-art neck/back massager available, as well as special neck pillows and warm blankets. There is always soothing music playing, or if patients prefer, they can use their own iPods or headphones supplied by the office to listen to other music. Dr. Veligdan is also trained in hypnosis to help relax patients while they are undergoing treatments. Simply put, says Dr. Veligdan, we have genuine concern for our patients comfort before, during and after treatment. We know our patients personally and respect their time. We also pay attention to every detail, from treatments to insurance and more. We treat our patients like kings and queens.

I love my patients, and I love what I do every day, says Dr. Veligdan. Becoming a part of the lives of my patients and their families is a blessing to me and my wife, Rosa. His wife, Rosa Antonelli, Ph.D., is a world-renowned concert pianist and Steinway Artist. On October 15, 2011, Rosa will be giving a solo piano recital in Carnegie Halls Stern Auditorium (visit http://www.rosaantonelli.com for more information).
