About ClipShow

Founded in 1999 by Charles Dauber, as a means of sharing videos of his newborn son over the Internet with friends and relatives around theworld, ClipShow provides innovative solutions to the biggest barriers facing Internet video sharing today; (1.) translating video into a digital format and (2.) viewing video on the Web with a dial-up connection.

"While searching for a way to share videos of my new baby, it became clear that there were other Internet users like myself who were encountering similar problems. Although multiple solutions were available for sharing photographs on the Internet, there was no equivalent service for home movies. ClipShow is the next logical step in helping people to stay connected with friends and family using the Internet,"

said Dauber.

Since its beta launch in October of 1999, ClipShow has rapidly become a premiere, destination site for video sharing on the Internet, providing an entirely new level of online interaction for its members. In December of 1999, Robin Richards, President of MP3.com, joined ClipShow's Board of Directors. Leading the way in the expanding online video services market, ClipShow has already developed an impressive base of streaming video and multimedia partners, including Dazzle Multi-Media, Microsoft, RealNetworks, Exodus, Intervu and Sun Microsystems.
